Research Areas: His research interests include the effect of Ramadan fasting on quality of life in patients undergoing sleeve gastrectomy (Tube Stomach) surgery, studies on bariatric surgery including a new technique approach to the first trocar insertion in bariatric surgery, studies on objective structured clinical examination in the evaluation of medical school students, studies on colon, rectum breast cancer, management in malignant bowel obstruction, and the role of surgery.

Selected Studies: He wrote his medical specialization thesis titled “Comparison of Resection and Primary Anastomosis in Right and Left Colonic Obstructions: An Experimental Study” (2007). “Management of lactational breast abscesses” (2005), “Suboptimal anastomosis after colon resection: Experimental study” (2014), “Prognostic importance of neutrophil/lymphocyte and lymphocyte/crp ratio in cases with malignant bowel obstruction” (2019), “New technique definition of first trocar insertion in bariatric surgery” (2020), “Laparoscopic approach to adrenal masses” (2020), “Is the objective structured clinical exam affected by the internship performance of the students?” (2020), “Correlation between complete blood count parameters and appendix diameter in diagnosing acute appendicitis” (2020), “Ramadan fasting increases socialization in patients undergoing sleeve gastrectomy: Observational study” (2021) are some of the articles that he is the author and co-author of.
